Papasan Chair About

Monday, April 26, 2010
A papasan chair (also called a mamasan chair and a chair familiarly bowl) is a great president rounded bowl-shaped with an adjustable angle similar to a futon. The bowl rests in a vertical frame traditionally made of rattan, but sometimes wicker or solid wood. Although similar models have existed in the furniture world, the papasan was introduced in the United States in the 1950s, and rose to great popularity in the 1970.

The cushion of the chair is usually filled with thick velvet on cotton lint. In traditional papasan, the cushion can be removed and used outside the sturdy frame, although it is hand wash only. non-traditional papasan chairs sturdy metal or plastic frames, and are of similar design to that of traditional chairs. The metal or plastic folds general framework itself, which allows easy transport and storage.

Beautiful and well made with a pillow. Very thick, President quality. Fits good, not cheap thin or perfect. I highly recommend it!
